rollcall
Website design and development for a social media content agency, featuring an interactive introduction, motion-led storytelling and responsive layouts.
Context
rollcall is a social media content agency with a youthful, energetic personality. Its work spans content creation and digital media, with videography playing a central role in how the agency presents itself.
The website needed to reflect that character while giving visitors a clear understanding of the agency's services and work. Rather than relying on a conventional agency layout, the direction focused on making the experience feel playful, interactive and visually driven.
Approach
I conceptualised, designed and developed the website around a simple opening idea: "Have too many balls in the air? Let rollcall help you with that."
The introduction turns that line into an interactive experience, with animated balls representing the agency's different services. Each ball carries a service label, making the opening both a playful expression of the tagline and a way to introduce what rollcall does.
The visual direction builds on the agency's existing brand shape, using it alongside energetic motion and videography to give the site its character. I wanted the website to feel like an extension of the agency's creative work, with its content and interactions doing much of the talking.
I carried that approach through the website's page structure, transitions and responsive layouts, paying particular attention to how the experience translates to mobile. The interactions and visual elements were adapted for smaller screens rather than simply scaling down the desktop design.
The project covered the website from creative direction and interaction planning through to front-end development, mobile optimisation and deployment.
